Appearance and Function
This V-Pro IR Slave Dimmer cosmetically has a circular metal button on view, behind which, is a concealed sprung micro-switch, which gives the button a tactile touch feel. To dim your lights, press and hold the button. To brighten, press and hold the same button. A quick touch will turn the lights on or off. If button is continuously pressed on, the lights will cycle up and down.
This dimmer is a Slave dimmer. These Dimming Slaves are used together with V-Pro IR Series Touch and Remote Master Dimmers. One Master dimmer is required per circuit and if the circuit is 2 or more way, then V-Pro IR Slave dimmers must be used for the additional switch/dimmer locations, as normal on/off (rocker or impulse) switches cannot be used in conjunction with this type of dimmer.
This Slave dimmer, alongside its Master, can be used in many applications, from Home to commercial premises such as Offices, Bars, Nightclubs, Retirement and Nursing Homes.
The V-Pro IR software, is contained in the Master dimmer, the Slave sends a signal via a link wire to the Master allowing dimming functionality. All our dimmers have the newest software that's available, whenever Varilight creates an update, they update the software in our dimmer stocks too.
2 Way and Multi Way Dimming
It is possible to use multiple dimmer switches in a single circuit when using the V-Pro IR Series, this is one massive advantage over conventional dimmers. The main switch where the live feed is present must be a Master Dimmer. The second switch, or 3rd switch (intermediate) must then be a Slave Dimmer. It is not possible to use a Slave Dimmer switch as a standalone dimmer in a 1 way circuit. Similarly, normal on/off rocker or impulse switches cannot be used in the circuit either.
For 2-way circuits: 1 Touch and Remote Master Dimmer and 1 Slave dimmer is required.
For 3 way circuits: 1 Touch and Remote Master Dimmer and 2 Slave dimmers are required.
For multi-way circuits: 1 Touch and Remote Master Dimmer and as many Slave dimmers as are needed.
This product is not waterproof, therefore can not be used externally or in areas of moisture.
This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.

Delivery is free with DPD Local Next Working Day service for UK Mainland, Scottish Lowlands & Wales, if you spend £100 or more per order.
Please note if you need your order in a hurry, you are best to choose the DPD Local Next Day or Timed Delivery option at checkout, as 1st Class Royal Mail delivery is not a guaranteed next day delivery service.

Please contact us and we will generate a returns number and postage paid document that you can stick to your parcel. Make sure you make it clear on the returns form if you want a replacement or refund. Please note using this method ensures that you won't have to pay for return delivery. If you decide to choose to send it back by another method, we can NOT refund this return delivery cost to you. You can also contact us if you have an account, simply log in and go to the correct order relating to your return and follow the instructions and email us directly from there. The quickest way to receive a replacement, is to buy the product you need on-line, so we can send it to you immediately. If the product is faulty and still on the wall/ or in its position and is unsafe to remove, please wait for the replacement to arrive, and swap these products over, sending us back the faulty product.
Please make sure the product(s) are well packaged so will not damage in the post. Return the goods to the address shown below. Please enclose a completed copy of our returns form, which can be downloaded by clicking HERE. We will credit your card/Paypal after we have received your goods and will send you a refund note for your records.
When returning faulty products for replacement only, please write on returning parcel "REPLACEMENT", this will ensure a quicker turn around.
