Appearance, Function and Applications

The Bakelite Ceiling Pull Cord looks far better than the black/white plastic version available nowadays! This is a true Bakelite product, Bakelite Ceiling Pull Cord Unit and Hand Turned Wooden Acorn Pull Cord End. The cord is also another beautiful feature of the pull cord, the whole ceiling pull cord set although modern can transform your home back to a nostalgic design of the 1920's. The wooden base on this model is circular.

The Oak acorn has been hand turned creating a smooth quality feel. The weighty cord was selected to compliment the bakelite colour and hangs elegantly without springing up after each pull.

The Bakelite switches are suitable for controlling mains and low voltage lighting, halogen, incandescent GLS, LEDs and any other lighting that does not require dimming.

They are also suitable for either 1 way, or 2 way circuits, i.e. where the same lights are controlled by 2 seperate switches.

Limitations

Remember to not overtighten this product or the natural wood will crack and warranty will be void.

This product is not waterproof and should not be used externally.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may discolour or warp. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, from the above or over tightening to the wall, it will void the product warranty.
