Appearance, Function and Applications

"These momentary power grid switches resemble rocker switches, in that they are rectangular with a central fulcrum. The difference however, is that when you press the bottom of the rocker switch to turn on, you need to hold it to make contact. Then when the switch is released, it will spring back to the off position. It can be used where push-to-make switches are required, for example to trigger a relay or activate a motor that controls a blind, they can be used for all electric blinds, bells and applications where a momentary electric signal is required, please note, this switch is not waterproof. There are 200 Power Grid modules including new engraved modules, and both Screwless and Screwed Grid faceplates across the nine finishes enabling you to create countless combinations to produce tailor-made wiring accessories for specific projects.

There are two types of plates: Dimension Screwed Power Grid plates employs mini fixing screws but will complement the existing range of Dimension Screwless sockets and Data Grid accessories to create one hugely expanded range assortment; Dimension Screwless Power Grid plates are in keeping with the rest of the screwless range, simply add the modules to the frame, and screw to wall box, then clip the cover plate on to frames.

Please note: The data Grid inserts are not compatible with the Power Grid plates, Data Grid plates will have to be bought seperately.

Screwless and Screwed Grid faceplates are available as 10AX 2 way and 20AX with 3 way, 2 way and 1 way configurations, single and double pole, standard switches, including some incorporating neons are complemented by intermediate switches, key switches, 2 way and on/off retractive switches, 13A fuse holders, 16A flex outlets and green, amber and red neon indicator modules, blanking modules and both 250W and 400W multi-purpose 2 way dimmer modules, as well as V-Pro, V-Com and Multi Point modules for dimming LEDs.

Power Grid plates are available as 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 12 gang faceplates.

The Push To Make are suitable for multiway circuits, i.e. where the circuit is controlled by a number of retractive switches.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.
