Appearance, Function and Applications

What paint can I use? - You can use any paint, which will give you a variety of finishes.

How many coats will it typically take to finish them well? - Varilight recommend 3 coats for emulsion, which can be applied by brush or roller, and at least 1 coat for spray paint.

Will these conform to British Standards? - All our products conform to the BSEN Standards.

Can I remove the paint once painted - if so how? - You can't remove the paint unless you're confident in sanding it off with sandpaper or similar, but you can over-paint the plate if you decide to change your wall colour.

Do I still get a warranty once painted? - Warranty is for the working parts of the accessories, but not on the finish that has been applied.

What colour do they come unfinished? - They are a slightly creamy off white when they're unfinished.

This dimmer is rotary controlled, meaning to turn the dimmer on, the knob needs to be turned clockwise, a click will be heard from the dimmer and the brightness will increase, respectively, by turning anti-clockwise the brightness will diminish and the click from the dimmer means the dimmer is off.

This regulator is designed to control mains voltage lighting and any number of ceilling fans as long as the total load does not exceed that stated on the product.

Limitations

These dimmers will NOT dim LEDs, if dimming LEDs choose either the V-Pro, Multi-Point Remote, Multi-Point Touch, or V-Com Dimmer Series.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.
