Part M high contrast wiring accessories help the visually impaired operate their switches and sockets more easily. There are also large rocker light switches in the range to help users with impaired motor skills. This Part M range is in addition to other products within the Premium Black (Jet Black/Piano Black) Range as the plate style and material is the same.

Appearance, Function and Applications

The rocker switch is rectangular with a central fulcrum, press the bottom of the rocker switch to turn on, and the top of the rocker switch to turn off, an audible click will occur when turning on/off the switch.

Our standard rocker switches are suitable for controlling mains and low voltage lighting, halogen, incandescent GLS, LEDs and any other lighting that does not require dimming.

They are also suitable for either 1 way, or 2 way circuits, i.e. where the same lights are controlled by 2 seperate switches. If the lighting circuit is controlled by three switches, in seperate locations then one of the switches in the circuit must be an Intermediate Switch with four terminals enabling you to link all three switches together.

Limitations

This switch is not waterproof. If this product is needed for external use please buy the following items IP66 Wall Box and if needed, a Spacer.

For heavy duty applications such as controlling water heaters or cookers choose from our Heavy Duty Switches, 20 Amp and 45 Amp.

If you would prefer a dimmer instead, then choose one of the following dimmers: if dimming LEDs choose either the V-Pro, Multi-Point Remote, Multi-Point Touch, or V-Com Dimmer Series. If dimming mains and Low Voltage then choose V-Plus Dimmer Series.

Alternatively, if you need a dimmer to use in conjunction with this product, then choose one of the following dimmers: if dimming LEDs choose either the V-Pro, or V-Com Dimmer Series. If dimming mains and Low Voltage then choose V-Plus Dimmer Series, and if only dimming incandescent lighting, then choose V-Dim.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.
