Appearance, Function and Applications

The Toggle switch acts like a regular rocker switch but looks different. It has a short shaft with a ball on the end with a central fulcrum, press the Toggle switch downwards to turn on, and press it upwards to turn off, an audible click will occur when turning on/off the Toggle switch.

Our toggle switches are suitable for controlling mains and low voltage lighting, halogen, incandescent GLS, LEDs and any other lighting that does not require dimming.

They are also suitable for either 1 way, or 2 way circuits, i.e. where the same lights are controlled by 2 seperate switches. If the lighting circuit is controlled by three switches, in seperate locations then one of the switches in the circuit must be an Intermediate (3 Way) Switch with four terminals enabling you to link all three switches together.

Limitations

This product is not waterproof, therefore can not be used externally or in areas of moisture.

If you would prefer a dimmer instead, then choose one of the following dimmers: if dimming LEDs choose either the V-Pro or V-Com Series; If dimming mains and Low Voltage then choose the V-Plus Dimmer Series, and if only dimming incandescent lighting, then choose V-Dim Thermal Dimmer Series.

Cleaning

This product can be easily cleaned with a soft dry micro-fibre cloth. Never apply masking tape or other similar tape to the product. Avoid the use of any cleaning chemicals and always use a Gasket on freshly plastered, painted or damp walls as the plates may tarnish. (Plaster can take up to 6 months to dry out). A Gasket can be made from the packaging the product comes in, or a plastic bag can be cut to stop the plate touching the plaster. Unfortunately, if these Instructions are not followed, and the plate is damaged, it will void the product warranty.
